Adding Worm Castings to your garden is a great way to grow strong, healthy plants and vegetables. Healthier plants are better able to fight off
diseases and droughts and can also provide larger fruits, vegetables and a better overall harvest.
Worm Composting Tips:
- Don't use regular earthworms (Nightcrawlers)
- Red Wigglers are used for a worm composting bin and can be bought online
- Worm to Garbage ratio should be 2:1
- Water to Bedding ratio should be 3:1
- Add some soil to your bin to aid worms' digestion
- Shredded newspaper makes great worm bedding and is readily available
